TESTIMONY OF PAULIUS

First, I want to thank 

- My parents for raising me with love, recognizing my desire to play music, and investing in me and my future.
Also my wife Viktorijawho led me to the discovery of God.
And Jesus who gave me a new life that I have never dreamed of.  

Here is the sequence of events in my life step by step. 

I grew up in a loving family. My parents, who saw my talent for music, always have encouraged and supported me in my pursuit to connect my life with music. After finishing high school, I entered Kaunas VDU Music Academy. There I met Viktorija. In just a few months, I realized that I wanted Viktorija to be my wife. I proposed and she agreed! But the wedding will have to wait for some time... 

As a musician, I spend a lot of time in the professional circles with a lot of parties, alcohol and drugs involved. Over time, it became clear to me that the parties were leading me to a marijuana addiction. After this realization, I tried to quit on my own, but kept coming back to the same place. The lifestyle started interfering with my relationship with Viktorija. One day she asked me to move out. We broke up. The breakup was the blow that I needed to come to my senses and clearly understand the trajectory of my life.  

The person I loved the most was no longer with me. I needed to change! The spiritual quest began. I started reading esoteric philosophy books and looking for answers. I realized that I am a man and I need to get the person I loved back! I called Viktorija, apologized, and asked to continue our friendship. She agreed! 

We moved in back together, but ultimatly, my head knowledge of various philosophies has not produced significant changes. The addictions remained, a little toned down to make it possible to live a "quiet" life, but it was still there. Since our relationship seemed to improve, we decided to get married. Victory is near! 

During our search for a church and a priest for our wedding, one Sunday we end up at "Misijos Taškas" a charismatic church in Ašminta. There was nothing fancy there - no frescoes inlayed with gold, no priest, but there was a pastor, a message and people who loved God. During that meeting I clearly understood that there is a living God and His name is Jesus. He touched my and Viktorija’s hearts. On the way home that day, we knew that we were going be back next Sunday. Six months later, we got married at the church! 

That Sunday Jesus filled my heart with the love and peace that I was looking for. Since that day, I have had no desire to intoxicate with drugs or alcohol. I was free! I realized that my life here on Earth was not without a purpose. I was made into the image of God, and I had an opportunity to participate in God's work that could change people's lives - the job that Jesus had prepared for me. 

At that point everything unfolded naturally. I had no need to rush anywhere to prove myself. Gintaras the leader of the Christ Team band, invited me and Viktorija to join the church worship team and soon after the Christ Team band.

I know for sure, that Jesus has a plan and purpose for each one of us. It is up to us to decide whether we want Him in our lives. Jesus gave us free will to choose. We can choose one of two paths - the sinful way that leads to destruction, or the way of Jesus leading to joy and fulfillment.  

The Bible says that

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

I choose life!
