History of Christ Team

The history of Christ Team started with the leader of the band Gintaras. He and several of his musician friends tried to make a career as a band. However, soon Gintaras who joined "Tikėjimo  žodis" church in Kaunas in 1992, realized that he needed to leave the band and start attending a Bible school. God touched his heart so strongly that he had no doubt in his mind.  

When God asked Gintaras to leave the band, He promised to give Gintaras another band, but He never said when. Much later, in 2008, when Gintars started attending "Laisvųjų krikščionių" community church, new hope dawned on him. There he met several musically talented young people who wanted to serve God. Gintaras was 37 years old at the time. He was moved by God, just like many years ago when his faith journey began. 

God pointed out to Gintaras several people and called him to form a worship band. The C-Team (the original name of the band) lasted for about two years. At the end of the two years, the band began to crumble – a handful of members left the town for study and work. Živile Didenko (at the time Dopkevičiūtė), vocalist Gabrielė Gvazdikaitė and bass player Paulius Gaidamavičius remained in the group. Gintaras himself joined the team as a musician. Two months later, drummer Ramūnas Bartulis came to the rehearsal. This is how the band Christ Team was born. We consider April 29, 2010, the official birthday of the band.
